Open Settings by clicking your email address at the bottom of the sidebar. The row just above it takes you straight to your plan: it reads Upgrade on the Free plan and shows your plan's name on a paid one. Settings has three tabs: Profile, Subscription and Security. They apply to your ShuffleKit account and do not change the cards, artwork, or component data in a project.
Profile
The Profile tab shows your photo, the workspace Theme (Light, Dark or System, which follows your device), your Email and your Display name. The photo comes from your Google account if you signed in with Google; otherwise your initials stand in. Your sign-in email is shown for reference and cannot be edited here. Change the display name and press Save. Keep it recognizable if you share projects or join playtests so collaborators can identify you.
Below the fields, Need help? opens the support box (see Contact support below). The foot of the tab shows the month you joined and Sign out.
Deleting your account
Delete account is at the bottom of the Profile tab. It permanently deletes your account and all of its projects, cards, layouts, uploaded files and support history, and cancels any paid subscription. The confirmation asks you to type DELETE before the button works. Treat this as irreversible: export or copy anything you need first, and check that no collaborator depends on a project you own.
Subscription and usage
The Subscription tab shows your current plan, what it costs and when it renews, and a list headed Included in your plan. Under Usage this period you see Image credits, Shufflo AI messages, and a meter for anything else your plan caps, such as projects and cards on Free. Check it before a larger art-generation pass, a collaboration push, or a publishing handoff so a limit does not surprise you halfway through.

Free is for trying ShuffleKit out on one game. Exporting print-ready files needs Hobby or Indie, and ordering printed decks through Print & Ship needs Indie: every project can be set up there, but publishing a game to TheGameCrafter is an Indie feature.
Image credits and Shufflo AI messages have a little headroom. When you pass the included number, you can keep going for 15 more, shown as "extra on us", before generation stops or Shufflo Holo switches to the standard model. One image costs 1 credit on Gemini Flash and 5 on Gemini Pro. Standard Shufflo replies are never counted; only Shufflo Holo replies use messages. See Shufflo AI.
Upgrading
The buttons on the plan card depend on where you are. Free shows Upgrade, and an Available plans section lower down compares Hobby and Indie. Hobby shows Upgrade to Indie. Any upgrade opens the plan picker: choose Monthly or Yearly, pick a plan, and press Upgrade to with the plan's name. From Free this goes to checkout. If you already pay, a confirm step shows what you will be charged today, with credit for unused time, tax and a Discount code field, and you confirm that exact amount. When the upgrade goes through, a dialog lists what is now yours, with Start creating.
If you leave checkout before paying, a bar across the top of the app says You didn't finish upgrading with Finish upgrading, or dismiss it with the x.
Changing or cancelling a paid plan
- Switch to yearly (monthly plans only, with the saving on the button) shows today's charge, with the unused part of your month credited, before you confirm.
- Downgrade to Hobby (on Indie) and Switch to monthly (on a yearly plan) are scheduled for your renewal date: nothing changes today, and the dialog lists what you will lose. Press Schedule for the date, or keep your plan. A scheduled change shows under the price as Renews on … as … with Undo.
- Payment method shows the card on file with Update card. Billing history lists each payment with its status and a View link to the invoice, and Open billing portal opens the payment provider's page.
- Cancel plan first asks why you are leaving (Keep my plan or Continue). You may then be offered half price on your next payments, with a Claim button showing the discount and Cancel my plan anyway. A claimed offer shows on the plan card as a stay offer.
Cancelling keeps your plan active until the end of the period you paid for. After that you move to Free and your projects stay where they are. Until then the plan card shows an Ends date, and a Scheduled notice offers Resume plan if you change your mind. A plan change affects your account access, not the underlying project data.
If a renewal payment fails, Settings shows Your last payment didn't go through with Update payment, and the plan badge reads Payment issue. Your paid features are paused while it is unresolved.
Security
The Security tab is where you change your password: enter a New password of at least eight characters with a letter in it, repeat it under Confirm, and press Update password. Use a unique password, and sign out from the Profile tab on a shared machine after a demo or playtest.
Contact support
The support box is the round chat button at the bottom right of the app; on a phone it sits in the top bar and as Support in the sidebar menu. Need help? in Settings opens it too. It lists your past conversations, marking finished ones Resolved, and New conversation starts another.
A new message needs a topic (Bug Report, Feature Request, My Account, Billing or Other) and at least ten characters. You can attach up to five images or PDFs of up to 10 MB each. Messages go to a person on the ShuffleKit team, who replies by email. To have the AI make or change cards instead, use the ask Shufflo link under the box: it moves what you typed into Shufflo.
A healthy maintenance check
Once a project becomes active, periodically confirm your display name, current plan usage, recovery credentials, and whether the workspace theme is comfortable for long editing sessions. It is a short check that prevents access and ownership issues from interrupting the actual design work.
