Make your own Cards Against Humanity style deck
Type a prompt or an answer and the card sets it in heavy type on black or white. Print the finished deck at home, or deal it to friends on an online table from a link.
Most of a deck like this is writing
A fill-in-the-blank deck is a few dozen prompts and a few hundred answers, all on the same two designs. Card generators that export one image at a time turn that into hundreds of downloads, and a typo into a card redone from scratch. Here each card is a row in a sheet on two designs drawn once, so fixing a word is fixing a cell.
1Start from the Deadpan deck
A black prompt card, a white answer card and a back for each, with six prompts and twelve answers already written. Anything on either design can be moved, recoloured or swapped for your own.
2Write your cards
Each card is a row: its text, whether it is a prompt or an answer, and a Pick of 2 or 3 on a prompt with more blanks. Paste a list from a spreadsheet to add a hundred at once.
3Print it or play it
On a paid plan, download a print PDF with bleed or order the deck from The Game Crafter. Any plan can deal it on the online table for up to six players.
What the template takes care of
Card text is heavy type at about 15pt, set top-left the way these games print it. A long prompt shrinks to fit its card rather than running off the edge.
Type six underscores and the card's type joins them into one rule, the space a player fills. Put as many in a prompt as it needs.
Set Pick to 2 and the prompt shows a PICK 2 pill in its corner. Set it to 3 and a DRAW 2 pill joins it, for the round where everyone draws two extra answers first.
Replace the placeholder name at the foot of the prompt design and every prompt carries yours. Each pile has its own back, black or white, so prompts and answers stay apart face down.
Import a CSV or a Google Sheet with one card per row. Import it again after an edit and the cards you changed update instead of arriving twice.
Publish the deck to the online table and send the link. Up to six people join from a browser, each holding a hand of their own, and only you need an account.

Is this the official Cards Against Humanity card maker?
No. ShuffleKit is not affiliated with or endorsed by Cards Against Humanity, LLC. The cards are an original design called Deadpan that follows the layout fill-in-the-blank party games share, and none of that game's logo, card text or card back is in it.
Is it free?
You can try it free: one project of up to 120 cards, enough to write your first prompts and answers and see them on the cards, and the online table works on every plan. How do I write a blank on a card?
Type six underscores: ______. In the card's heavy type they run together into a single line. A prompt can hold as many blanks as it needs; set its Pick column to match, so players know how many answers to play.
What size are the cards?
Poker size, 2.5 by 3.5 inches, which is 750 by 1050 pixels at 300 DPI and about the size of the best-known game of this kind. Printed at home they fit ordinary poker sleeves, and poker is the size Print & Ship orders from The Game Crafter.
How many cards should a deck have?
Far more answers than prompts. Each round uses one prompt and one answer from every player but the reader, so six players go through five answers a round, and dealing ten-card hands takes sixty before the first round starts. Four or five answers to each prompt keeps the two piles lasting about as long. The sample deck starts you with six prompts and twelve answers.
Can I sell a game I make with it?
Yes, if the game is yours: the Deadpan design is original, so a deck of your own prompts and answers on it, or on a design you draw yourself, is yours to publish. The best-known game's card text is shared under a Creative Commons licence that rules out commercial use, so a deck built from its cards is for your own table.
