From the template to a Bunco night

Every page is a row in a sheet: the night's name, a note, and the four players at a table. Fill a row for every four people and each card prints with its owner's name.

  1. Add the template to a project

Free. It copies both sheets and six sample pages into a project of your own: a Bunco night of twelve on three sheets of cards, its table tally, and a blank of each.

  2. Type the names

Put the night's name in Game, a line such as "Second Tuesday" in Note, and four names in Player 1 to Player 4. Add a row for every four players. A name you leave out prints as a line to write on.

  3. Pick the sheet

Score Cards prints four cards to a page with dashed lines to cut along. Table Tally is the scorekeeper's sheet, with Us and Them and a total for every round.

  4. Print the night

On Hobby and up, export a PDF on Letter or A4: every row is a page. Print a tally for every table. The blank sheets below are free and need no account.

How Bunco is scored

The rules in short, as the score card and the tally keep them. Each round every table rolls for the same number, 1s in round 1 up to 6s in round 6, three dice at a time.

At the tablePointsWhat gets written down
A die showing the round's number1The scorekeeper adds it under Us or Them
A bunco: all three dice showing the round's number21Points on the tally, and a mark in the roller's Buncos box
Three of a kind of another number5Under Us or Them, like any points
A roll that scores nothing0Nothing: pass the dice to your left
A team at the head table reaches 21The bell rings and every table stops
Your team ends the round aheadW in that round's box on your card
Your team ends the round behindL in that round's box on your card

Six rounds make a set, and each card holds three sets. After every round players move and change partners: the winners at the head table stay and its losers move down, and the winners at the other tables move up. At the end of the night everyone counts their own wins, losses and buncos. Some groups play without the 5 point rule, so agree on it first.

What is the difference between the score card and the tally sheet?

The score card is each player's own: a W or an L for every round and a count of their buncos, so it goes with them from table to table. The tally stays on the table, and the scorekeeper writes every turn's points on it under Us or Them to see which team won the round.

Can I download blank Bunco score cards without signing up?

Yes. The PDFs on this page are two pages each, a sheet of four score cards and a table tally, on Letter or on A4, with no account needed. Print them at actual size and cut the cards apart along the dashed lines.

How do I put everyone's names on the cards?

Add the template to a project, which is free. Each row of the sheet is one page of four cards: type the night's name in Game and four players in Player 1 to Player 4, and add a row for every four people. Exporting the PDF to print is on the Hobby plan.

How many score cards do I need for a Bunco night?

One per player, so three sheets of four for the usual twelve, and a tally for each table. A card holds three sets of six rounds. If your group plays four sets, print a second card for each player.

Who wins at Bunco?

Usually more than one person. Most groups give prizes for the most buncos and the most wins, often one for the most losses too, and some for the last bunco of the night. Everyone adds up their own card when the last round ends.
