A fill-in-the-blank party card set with a Prompt card and an Answer card and a back for each, cut to poker size and print-ready. Prompts print in heavy white type on black and answers in heavy black type on white, set top-left the way a party game of this kind prints them, with blanks typed as underscores and the game's mark and name along the foot. A prompt that takes two answers shows a PICK 2 pill in the corner, and a Pick 3 adds a DRAW 2 pill above it. The Card Type column sends every prompt to the prompt front and the prompt back, so the two piles stay apart face down. Comes with an eighteen-card sample deck: six prompts and twelve answers, all original.

From a list of jokes to a deck

The print sheet is enough for a dozen cards written in pen. A deck of a few hundred is quicker typed, where every card is a row and a typo is one cell to fix.

  1. Add the template to a project

    Free. It copies the prompt and answer designs, both backs, the columns and an 18-card sample deck, six prompts and twelve answers, into a project of your own.

  2. Type the cards into the sheet

    One row per card: its text under Name and Prompt or Answer under Card Type. A blank is six underscores. A list in a spreadsheet imports in one go.

  3. Put your game's name on it

    The name along the foot of each front and across both backs is the template's placeholder. Change it on a design once and every card on that design follows.

  4. Print it or play it

    On a paid plan, download a print PDF with bleed and crop marks, or order the deck from The Game Crafter with Print & Ship. To play before printing, deal it on the online table from a shared link.

What size are the cards?

The best-known game of this kind prints its cards at about poker size, so sleeves, card boxes and printers made for poker cards fit a deck made here.

The print sheets put nine cards on a page of US Letter or A4 at their real size, 3 across and 3 down, with crop marks in the margin. Euro poker is half a millimetre smaller each way than poker, so a deck printed at either size mixes into the other without standing out.

Prefer a blank file?

Poker size. The print sheets are nine cards a page at actual size with crop marks, answers first and then prompts, each followed by its backs. The single cards are 825 × 1125 at 300 DPI with an eighth of an inch of bleed, and the guide marks the cut line, the safe zone and the text box. No account needed.

Is this an official Cards Against Humanity template?

No. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Cards Against Humanity, LLC. The cards are an original design that follows the layout fill-in-the-blank party games share, and nothing on them comes from that game: no logo, card text or card back. It is for your own prompts, your own answers and your own game.

Are the blank cards free to print?

Yes, with no account: the print sheet in US Letter or A4, and each blank card on its own. The template costs nothing to add to a project either, where the free plan's one project holds up to 120 cards, enough to try it on your first prompts and answers. A longer deck, exporting files and Print & Ship are on the paid plans.

How do I print blank cards at home?

Print at actual size with "fit to page" turned off, on 250 to 300 gsm cardstock (90 to 110 lb cover). Pages one and two are nine answer cards and their backs, pages three and four nine prompt cards and theirs; print a pair on both sides with the page flipping on its long edge and cut along the marks. The prompt pages are solid black, so they use a lot of ink, and writing on them takes a white gel pen or a paint marker.

How do blanks and Pick 2 work?

A blank is six underscores, which the card's heavy type joins into one line. For a prompt with two blanks, set its Pick column to 2 and a PICK 2 pill appears in the corner. Pick 3 shows PICK 3 with a DRAW 2 pill above it, for the round where players draw two extra answers first. Leave Pick empty on a prompt that takes one answer.

Can I import my cards from a spreadsheet?

Yes. Import a CSV or a Google Sheet with one card per row, the text in one column and Prompt or Answer in another, and each row becomes a card on the right design. Importing the same sheet again after editing it updates the cards instead of adding them twice.

Can we play the deck online?

Yes. Publish the deck to the online table and send the link: up to six people join from a browser, each with a hand of their own, and only the host needs an account. It is the same deck you print, so a card fixed after a game night is fixed in both.
