by ShuffleKit
Printable charades cards with 100 ideas to act out or draw, from easy ones for kids to hard ones, with a team score sheet and a box. It is a whole party game to make your own, in a little theatre look: charades cards at poker size in seven categories (actions, animals, jobs, sports, objects, places and feelings), each with its prompt in tall capitals under a stage spotlight, the category's colour and emblem on a curtain valance, and its difficulty as one, two or three dots worth 1, 2 or 3 points; a back that takes the category's colour and shows the difficulty's dots, so the deck sorts into piles face down; a score sheet for two teams over ten rounds; and a tuck box for 108 cards laid out flat on its dieline. Every word works for a drawing round too. Every prompt is text you can retype or import from a spreadsheet, and the 42 Easy cards are the kids' deck. Comes with the rules: two teams, a one-minute timer, no words and no sounds.

How to play charades with Mumfox
- Split into two teams of two or more and pick a timekeeper; a phone's timer is fine. Shuffle the cards and put them face down. To play one category, sort the cards by the colour of their backs; to play with young children, use only the Easy cards, the ones with one dot.
- Teams take turns. On your turn, one player draws a card, reads it without showing anyone and starts the one-minute timer.
- Act out what the card says without a word or a sound: no talking, no mouthing, no pointing at things in the room. You may hold up fingers to show how many words it has.
- Your team calls out guesses as you act. Guess it before the minute is up and the team writes the card's points in this round's row of the score sheet: 1 for Easy, 2 for Medium, 3 for Hard. If time runs out, the card scores nothing and goes to the bottom of the pile.
- Drawing round: play the same cards as a drawing game. Draw what the card says on paper instead of acting it, with no letters, numbers or symbols, and score it the same way.
- After ten rounds each, add up the score sheet. The team with the most points wins; on a tie, play one more card each.
Printing the cards, score pads and boxes
Cards: Poker, 2.5 × 3.5 in, 63.5 × 88.9 mm, 750 × 1050 pixels at 300 DPI. With an eighth of an inch of bleed on every edge, a card goes out as 825 × 1125.
Score Pads: Small Score Pad, 3.5 × 5.5 in, 88.9 × 139.7 mm, 1050 × 1650 pixels at 300 DPI. With an eighth of an inch of bleed on every edge, a score pad goes out as 1125 × 1725.
Boxes: Poker Tuck Box, 108 cards, 10.25 × 7.5 in, 260.4 × 190.5 mm, 3075 × 2250 pixels at 300 DPI. With an eighth of an inch of bleed on every edge, a box goes out as 3150 × 2325.
On the Hobby plan, export a print-ready PDF with bleed and cut lines, each part at its own size. PNG and SVG come out at the same sizes, which is what Tabletop Simulator wants. On Indie, send the game to a print-on-demand partner through Print & Ship. The export adds the bleed: let the artwork run into it and keep the text inside the cut line.

Questions about Mumfox Printable Charades Card Template
Everything you need to know before getting started.
Still have questions? Contact us
What are good charades ideas for kids?
The 42 Easy cards in this deck were written for kids, with one dot on the back so they sort out face down. They include actions like brushing your teeth or flying a kite, animals like a penguin or a kangaroo, jobs like a firefighter or a chef, and feelings like sleepy or surprised.
How many charades ideas come with it?
100, in seven categories: actions, animals, jobs, sports, objects, places and feelings. Besides the 42 Easy cards, the rest are Medium and Hard for older players, such as threading a needle, a beekeeper or curling, and each card scores 1, 2 or 3 points by its dots.
Can I add my own charades ideas?
Yes. Each prompt is a row in the sheet with its Category and Difficulty, and the card's colour and dots follow those two columns. Type new ones in or import a spreadsheet of them.
What happens when I add Mumfox Printable Charades Card Template to a project?
The two card designs, one score pad design, one box design, their fields, 100 sample cards, one sample score pad and one sample box are copied into one project of yours, with the fields already pointed at the designs: the cards under All cards, the score pads in a collection of their own and the boxes in a collection of their own. Nothing stays linked to this page afterwards, so the author's later edits never reach your copy.
What size does Mumfox Printable Charades Card Template print at?
The cards are Poker size, 2.5 × 3.5 in, 63.5 × 88.9 mm, 750 × 1050 pixels at 300 DPI. The score pads are Small Score Pad size, 3.5 × 5.5 in, 88.9 × 139.7 mm, 1050 × 1650 pixels at 300 DPI. The boxes are Poker Tuck Box, 108 cards size, 10.25 × 7.5 in, 260.4 × 190.5 mm, 3075 × 2250 pixels at 300 DPI. Those are the numbers to hand a print shop, and each part exports at its own size.
Is Mumfox Printable Charades Card Template free?
Yes. Adding it, editing it, filling it with your own cards and playtesting it online are all free. Exporting print files starts on the Hobby plan, and Print & Ship through The Game Crafter is on Indie. No template sits behind a paid plan.
Can I change the designs?
Yes. They land in your project as ordinary layouts, so you can drag an element somewhere else, put your own art behind the frame, restyle the type or rename a field. Edit a design once and every card or score pad or box drawn on it follows.
Can I use my own cards, score pads and boxes instead of the samples?
Yes. The cards, the score pads and the boxes each have a sheet, and the samples are rows in them, there to be overwritten. Type over them, add rows of your own, or bring a CSV and match its headers to the fields.
Can I sell a game made with Mumfox Printable Charades Card Template?
Yes. This one is ours, and you keep commercial rights to what you build from it, crowdfunding and retail included.
Ready to make your own charades cards?
This template is free, and so is the editor it opens in.
