What’s in Rungwell Card Game Score Sheet Template

Two designs: Card Game Score Sheet and Phase Cards.

Your score sheets live in a sheet, one row each, with a column for every field the designs read: Game, Note, Player 1, Player 2, Player 3, Player 4, Player 5, Player 6 and Sheet. Six of those rows arrive filled in, so there is something on the design before you type a word.

How to play rummy in ten phases

You need a deck made for phase rummy, with wild cards and skips, and a pen. The sheet has a column for each player, up to six.

  1. Everyone works through the same ten phases in order, and you can finish at most one phase in a hand. Type the players' names into the sheet before you print, and give each player a phase card to tick.
  2. Deal ten cards each and turn the next card up to start the discard pile. On your turn, take the top card of the deck or of the discard pile, then discard one. A wild card stands in for any card, and discarding a skip makes another player miss their next turn.
  3. A set is cards of the same number and a run is cards in number order. When you hold every card your phase needs, lay it down. After that you can add cards to any phase on the table, yours or someone else's, to empty your hand.
  4. The hand ends when one player has no cards left. Everyone who laid down their phase moves on to the next one, and everyone who did not tries the same phase again.
  5. The others score the cards still in their hands: 5 for each card from 1 to 9, 10 for each 10, 11 or 12, 15 for a skip and 25 for a wild. Write each player's phase and their running score in their columns.
  6. The first player to lay down the tenth phase wins. If two players finish it in the same hand, the one with the lower score wins.

Printing card game score sheets at home

Each page is one sheet, 8 × 10 inches. On the Hobby plan, export a PDF on Letter or A4 and every row in the sheet comes out as a page of its own, with its game and its players' names printed on it. For a pad, print that page as many times as you need.

Leave crop marks off. Each sheet keeps its own margin, and the phase cards have their own outlines to cut along.

Plain printer paper is enough for both sheets. Phase cards last longer on card stock if you keep them from game to game.

What are the ten phases?

In order: two sets of three; a set of three and a run of four; a set of four and a run of four; a run of seven; a run of eight; a run of nine; two sets of four; seven cards of one colour; a set of five and a set of two; and a set of five and a set of three. The score sheet prints them at the top and each phase card lists them with a box to tick.

What counts as a set, a run and a colour?

A set is cards with the same number, in any colours. A run is cards in number order, such as 4 5 6 7, in any colours. A colour phase is seven cards of one colour in any order. Wild cards can stand in for any card in all three, but a skip can never be part of a phase.

What happens when I add Rungwell Card Game Score Sheet Template to a project?

The two designs, the nine fields and the six sample score sheets are copied into a project of yours, with the fields already pointed at the design. Nothing stays linked to this page afterwards, so the author's later edits never reach your copy.

What size does Rungwell Card Game Score Sheet Template print at?

Each sheet is 8 × 10 inches (20.3 × 25.4 cm), so it fits on US Letter or A4 with room round the edge for any home printer. The Score Sheet holds twenty hands for up to six players, and the Phase Cards sheet holds six cards to cut apart, one per player.

Is Rungwell Card Game Score Sheet Template free?

Yes. Adding it, editing it, filling it with your own cards and playtesting it online are all free. Exporting print files starts on the Hobby plan, and Print & Ship through The Game Crafter is on Indie. No template sits behind a paid plan.

Can I change the designs?

Yes. They land in your project as ordinary layouts, so you can drag an element somewhere else, put your own art behind the frame, restyle the type or rename a field. Edit a design once and every score sheet on it follows.

Can I use my own score sheets instead of the samples?

Yes — the samples are rows in a sheet, and they are there to be overwritten. Type over them, add rows of your own, or bring a CSV and match its headers to the fields.

Can I sell a game made with Rungwell Card Game Score Sheet Template?

Yes. This one is ours, and you keep commercial rights to what you build from it, crowdfunding and retail included.

Ready to make your own score sheets?

This template is free, and so is the editor it opens in.
